Fashion Week Brooklyn Presents Be Bold, Be Strong Fall/Winter 2014 Collections March 13-16, 2014
BROOKLYN, N.Y., March 11, 2014— There’s just no stopping Brooklyn! With the ushering in of the new Borough President, Eric Adams and his recent official endorsement of Fashion Week Brooklyn, the collection theme “Be Bold, Be Strong” holds significant importance. FWB, produced by the BK Style Foundation, beginning March 13- 16, 2014 at Industry City (located at 241 37th Street in Sunset Park), will showcase the collections of designers based in the USA, South Africa, Grenada and Finland.
There is literally something for every fashion lover attending FWB this season! On March 13, 2014, Brooklyn Borough President, Eric Adams will host the opening eco-friendly evening beginning at 7:30pm and will challenge Bronx Borough President, Ruben Diaz Jr. to a runway walk-off. It’s a battle of the boroughs you don’t want to miss!
How much is that doggy on the runway? Dog lovers will have an opportunity to view the latest in pet couture on March 13 and March 15, by designers Warren R. Agee for My Fabulous Puppy (www.myfabulouspuppy.com) and Anthony Rubio for Bandit Rubio Couture (www.anthonyrubiodesigns.com) On March 15, in an encore presentation, Bradley Douglas Jordan, a men’s and women’s designer based in Los Angeles will debut his eclectic collection for the second time at FWB (www.bradleydouglasjordan.com)

Build A Better Planet (www.buildabetterplanet.org), a non-profit organization to promote sustainable living will host a silent auction of vintage and collectible antiques with the Pier 44 Auction each day of the event (www.pier44antiques.com).
FWB continues to celebrate the local creative community and provide a platform for emerging and established designers and artists. Guests are encouraged to participate in the #SHOOTBROOKLYN campaign with sponsor Gotham Stages (a 10, 000 square foot production facility for film, television and photography shoots) and take selfies with friends in front of their neon press wall (www.gothamstages.com).
